Savanha Merlot
Tasting notes: Dark red colour. Good balance between fruit and structure. This juicy and velvety wine has ripe red berry aromas and is combines with a strong savoury character on the palate. It is supportes by a good strucutre and has a lingering finish.
Food pairing: Complements both read meat and chicken dishes. Serve with lamb chops and baked potatoes on the side.
Vinification: Grapes were handpicked at optimum ripeness, sorted, de-stemmed and gently crushed. The juice was chilled to10°C-12°C to enable cold maceration prior to fermantation in stainlessteel tanks. Daily pump-overs were conducted for optimum extraction of colour and flavour. Wines showing well-preserved fruit were selected for blending and fining. Sterile bottling took place after six months of maturation and integration.
